Community of Owners Torrelago I and II (Valladolid)

Torrelago I and Torrelago II are the first and third largest communities of property owners, respectively, in Castilla y León, located in Laguna de Duero.

It has 31 buildings and 1,488 homes.

THE CHALLENGE

The main needs of the Community were:

  • Solve thermal dissatisfaction of end users (old, poorly insulated buildings with high energy consumption).
  • Propose a model of energy services that is sustainable over time.
  • Reduce energy costs.

THE VEOLIA SOLUTION

  • Reduce energy demand.
  • Empower end users to make usage decisions.
  • Propose an energy mix (80% biomass and 20% gas).
  • Install advanced regulation and control systems.
  • To enable entry into the European CITyFIED Project as a representative project subject to non-refundable grants.
